A massive rescue operation is underway after a hiker tumbled from a cliff next to the crater of an active Indonesian volcano, according to reports.

Brazilian tourist Juliana Marins, 26, was hiking with a group when she disappeared at 6:30 a.m. local time Saturday around Mount Rinjani, the BBC reported.

She then fell off a cliff surrounding a trail and plummeted next to the volcano’s crater, the outlet reported.

Rescuers heard “screams for help” as drone footage from later Saturday showed her still alive and perched on grey soil, according to the outlet.

But when a vertical rescue team tried to reach her nearly 1,000 feet below the cliff, Marins was nowhere to be found — and attempts to find her using a thermal drone were hampered by thick fog conditions surrounding the volcano.

Marins was located again on Monday, even further below where she was originally perched. But, weather conditions stopped rescue efforts once again, according to a family-run Instagram account dedicated to saving the young hiker.

Rescue teams were less than halfway toward reaching the hiker when they were forced to retreat, the account claimed.

The account chronicling Marin, a tourist from Niterói who frequently posted pictures dancing and traveling, has accrued over 400,000 followers since word of her disappearance on Saturday.

The family also slammed the park for allegedly remaining open and allowing hikers to use the same trail that Marins walked on when she tumbled near the crater.

“While Juliana is NEEDING HELP! We don’t know the state of her health! She still has no water, food, or warm clothes for three days,” the account wrote.

Comments have flooded drone videos and photos posted by rescuers attempting to reach Marins.

“We are very grateful for your help, and we know you are doing this at great risk and with all your heart. We, Brazilians, are praying and we truly appreciate your support,” one commenter said.

Marin’s family contacted the Brazilian embassy in Jakarta, which is mediating contact with the company responsible for the tour by the volcano, Brazil TV reported.

“As of now, the evacuation process is still ongoing. Authorities urge all climbers to remain vigilant and thoroughly prepare before attempting the Rinjani trek,” Mount Rinjani National Park said in a statement on Instagram.
