Heroes, zeros of Game 5: OG Anunoby no-shows in Knicks’ blowout loss

Heroes, zeros and more from the Knicks’ 127-102 Game 5 loss to the Celtics at TD Garden in Boston on Wednesday night:

Hero 

The Knicks lost Derrick White on countless possessions, and he erupted for 34 points. He went 7-for-13 from 3-point range — and only took two non 3-pointers. 

Zero 

OG Anunoby has had too many of these no-shows this postseason. He finished with just six points on rough 1-for-12 shooting from the field and struggled to contain Jaylen Brown on the defensive end.

Unsung hero 

Jaylen Brown elevated without his partner in crime Jayson Tatum, carrying more of the scoring load. He finished with 26 points, 12 of which came in the second quarter, when the Celtics overcame a nine-point deficit.
