Heroes, zeros from Giants’ ‘MNF’ loss to Rams: Davante Adams turns back the clock

Hero 

With Puka Nacua out, Davante Adams was a No. 1 once again. The 33-year-old receiver — who had produced more than 100 yards receiving in just one of his first 18 games with the Rams — scored the game’s first points on a spectacular 31-yard touchdown catch, then added a third-quarter score, finishing with 8 catches for 195 yards.

Zero 

Jaxson Dart can’t come back soon enough. Jameis Winston — the former No. 1 overall draft pick — looked lost after taking over on the Giants’ second possession, missing multiple throws by several yards, including a devastating interception in the end zone. He finished 11-for-27 for 111 yards.

Unsung hero

Even with Myles Garrett sidelined and Aaron Donald playing his first game in nearly three years, the Rams had no trouble getting to the quarterback. Linebacker Byron Young led a brilliant effort by the L.A. defense, recording five tackles, one sack and three quarterback hits.
