Heat predicted sign $37M injury-prone veteran, ex-Lakers reject that Bam Adebayo is pleading for

The Miami Heat are having quite the offseason, and it has only gotten better as the summer has gone on. Miami is looking to make serious noise this season and is in a good position after its latest acquisitions.

The Heat have added several veterans who should eventually develop strong chemistry after spending more time together. One player Miami’s center, Bam Adebayo, reportedly wants the team to bring back is Gabe Vincent.

“As the Miami Heat continue to explore ways to build out the supporting cast around Giannis Antetokounmpo in year one, Gabe Vincent is a name that has naturally come up. And, according to some recent reporting, he's a former Heat player that Bam Adebayo would love to see get a second chapter with the organization,” AUCH’s Michael Saenz wrote.

In a recent report, NBA insider Brett Siegel mentioned that a Vincent reunion with Miami is likely.

“I would expect them to go guard for one of their final spots, I think a Gabe Vincent reunion there makes a lot of sense, especially since Bam Adebayo and Erik Spoelstra have been big advocates for him ever since Summer League. I would think that it is very likely at this point that they would give that to Gabe Vincent if he’s willing to take a minimum (contract) there. I would expect them to go guard for one of their final spots. I think that Gabe Vincent, a reunion there makes a lot of sense,” Siegel said.

Vincent is coming off a difficult few years with the Los Angeles Lakers. Last season, he was traded at the deadline.

“The Los Angeles Lakers have acquired guard Luke Kennard from the Atlanta Hawks in exchange for guard Gabe Vincent and a 2032 second-round pick, the team announced on Thursday night,” ESPN wrote.

There is no doubt that Vincent can play well and buy into the culture that the Heat have established. His tenure with the Lakers is one he would probably like to forget, especially after putting together some productive seasons before joining Los Angeles.

Vincent has made $37 million throughout his career. Adebayo is likely to push hard for the Heat to bring him back, and that support could ultimately help get Vincent to Miami.

As a potential final roster addition, Vincent would be an excellent name to round out the team.
