Patrick Mahomes put up an underwhelming performance during the Kansas City Chiefs' 22-19 loss to the Denver Broncos on Sunday. The quarterback completed 29 of the 45 passes for 276 yards. Mahomes' only touchdown of the game came in the fourth quarter when he found TE Travis Kelce with a 21-yard passing touchdown.

After the loss, fans of pop icon Taylor Swift, who is also Kelce's fiancee, took to social media to heavily criticize the Chiefs quarterback for his poor performance against the Denver Broncos.

"Pat still in holiday mode I guess," one fan commented.

On Sunday, Travis Kelce also achieved a personal milestone in his career. He broke the Chiefs' record for the most total touchdowns with 84 touchdowns to his name.

Patrick Mahomes was not the only person whom the Swifties criticized online. Coach Andy Reid was also caught in the mix as they questioned his play-calling decision against the AFC West leaders.

Patrick Mahomes takes responsibility for disappointing loss to the Broncos

In the post-game press conference, the three-time Super Bowl champion took the blame for his team's loss. Mahomes said that he will focus on improving his own game.

"I think we're really talented and we've got a lot of great players, but it's about being more consistent," Mahomes said per ClutchPoints. "I think it starts with me. There's times when I'm firing and we're moving the ball down the field at ease. But there's times where we go in spurts where I miss a throw or a pass protection call. We haven't been consistent enough to win games. It starts with me."

The Chiefs are ranked third in the AFC West behind the Los Angeles Chargers and the Denver Broncos. With a 5-5 record in hand. This raises an air of uncertainty about them winning their 10th straight division title.

Andy Reid and his team are next scheduled to face the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
