"He's got little arms, little fingers, little hand": LeSean McCoy eviscerates Tua Tagovailoa after Dolphins' 28-15 blowout loss vs. Steelers

The Pittsburgh Steelers beat Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins by a 28-15 score on Monday night. The result means that the Dolphins will miss the playoffs for the second straight season under head coach Mike McDaniel.

After the game, two-time Super Bowl-winning running back LeSean McCoy had choice words for Tagovailoa. Speaking on "Speak Easy", McCoy said,

"He's too little! He's got little arms, little fingers, little hands, and doesn't throw the ball deep."

McCoy's criticism comes after the former Alabama Crimson Tide star threw for two TDs and a pick. Tagovailoa's furthest throw was a 29-yard pass, and McCoy believes that his small hands are a reason for his inability to thread the needle deep.

Tagovailoa has endured an up-and-down professional football career since the Dolphins selected him with the fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft. He's led the team to the playoffs, led the league in passing yards, and built impressive chemistry with Tyreek Hill.

However, Tua Tagovailoa has also missed out on the playoffs four times. He's also faced numerous scary-looking head injuries, and he witnessed Hill suffer a potentially career-altering knee injury in 2025. There are now questions around whether the Dolphins will have the experienced shot caller as their QB1 for the long haul.

Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins are enduring a difficult 2025

Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins have gone through a forgettable campaign. It all culminated in getting eliminated from playoff contention with three games left to play.

The Dolphins started the season with three straight losses. They picked up their first win in Week 4 against the New York Jets, but that was the game when Tyreek Hill got hurt.

The Dolphins then endured another three-game losing streak. The worst loss in the run occurred against the Cleveland Browns in Week 7 as they suffered a blowout defeat.

The Dolphins split their next two games, beating the Atlanta Falcons in Week 8, but losing to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 9. They then went on an impressive four-game winning streak. They beat the Buffalo Bills, Washington Commanders, New Orleans Saints, and New York Jets in the streak.

However, the streak was broken by an inspired Pittsburgh Steelers on Monday Night Football. It sealed the Dolphins' fate of missing the playoffs. Next up is a Week 16 showdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.
