On December 21, BTS held a full-group live broadcast on Weverse, during which Jungkook spoke candidly about his long-standing wish to hold a solo concert. While addressing fans, he confirmed that a solo concert was something he still wanted to do but admitted that circumstances had not aligned so far.
“Of course, a solo concert has to happen. But I’m not sure when I’ll be able to. I wanted to do it so badly. But the timing… there just wasn’t anything that worked out,” Jungkook said during the live.Following his remarks, Jin and j-hope agreed and jokingly suggested appearing as guest performers at Jungkook’s solo concert, just as he had joined their own solo stages. j-hope jokingly asked whether he should perform a cover of Standing Next to You from Jungkook’s solo debut album Golden. Jungkook on the other hand suggested that Jin join him on stage to perform Super Tuna.
After the broadcast, clips of Jungkook’s comments circulated widely across social media platforms. Fans repeatedly shared the video and discussed his remarks, focusing on his expressed desire for a solo concert and the challenges he mentioned regarding timing.
Many fans voiced frustration, stating that Jungkook had not been given sufficient opportunities to further establish himself as a solo artist. Some fans argued that upcoming group activities limited the possibility of a solo concert and questioned whether this hindered his individual growth. One fan commented,
“This sad asf, an artist like jk not having time and opportunities to grow more as an solo artist but being constantly used for the sake of this group ain’t the good thing that fandom makes it look like. He deserves better.”The conversation continues online, with fans calling for stronger support and clearer opportunities for Jungkook’s solo activities moving forward.
🐰 I need to hold a solo concert. 🐰 But I don’t know when I’ll be able to do it… 🐰 I wanted to do it so badly.. 🐰 The timing… just… wasn’t right. This is so unfair 😡 Jungkook wanted a full solo concert so badly… You can see it on his face… It’s heartbreaking that with
I’m kinda heartbroken for him, too bec he wanted that solo tour to happen but has to hold it off for now. Happy at the same time because we know he will let it happen as soon as possible.
My heart breaks for Jungkook. He was looking forward to it & he told us excitedly in his letter before discharge.
Fans continued expressing frustration, calling the situation unfair, while some believe it was just a matter of timing. They commented that Jungkook would achieve significant success in solo career in near future.
It's very unfair... Don't you think that there are no specialists in the campaign who see HIS CREATIVE POTENTIAL,HIS OPPORTUNITIES??? It was assumed that his first solo concert would take place right after the army, since they hadn't even really promoted the first album. But no...
This hurts to read. Jungkook has been ready, he wants it, and yet nothing ever seems to align for him. I really hope it happens soon… because I genuinely don’t think anyone deserves a solo concert or tour more than him.
when an artist has been this explicit for this long even publicly, one can only imagine what’s happening behind closed doors
He made a conscious decision. JK knows he will become one of the biggest entertainer of all times, it's just a matter of time. This guy can do anything, TV, Shows, Broadcasting, Restaurant, Clothing, it doesn't matter. He'll be a HUGE success in whatever he puts his hands on.
