Manchester United fans on social media are fuming at Diogo Dalot after his performance in the Premier League draw at Nottingham Forest. Some fans believe the 26-year-old cost them two points after failing to stop two crosses, which led to goals for the opponents.

Ruben Amorim's side took the lead in the first half with Casemiro getting on the scoresheet in the 34th minute. The Reds Devils, who were looking for their fourth win on the bounce, managed to hold on to their lead until half-time.

Nottingham Forest came out all guns blazing in the second half, scoring two goals in as many minutes. Morgan Giobbs-White equalized in the 48th minute, before Nicolo Savona gave them the lead 2 minutes later.

Manchester United were facing defeat before Amad Diallo scored a stunning goal in the 81st minute to level things up once again. Both sides were keen on getting a winner, but failed to find the back of the net before full-time.

The fans were quick to point fingers at Dalot after the game, with many calling for the club to leave the Portuguese defender in Nottingham. They posted:

@UtdDefence Life is unpredictable when you have People like Dalot in your team. There is a reason why Ole kicked him out. We didn't listen to him!

If dalot isn’t on the pitch we win that game…he genuinely cost us points somehow every time he plays

Lock dalot in the dressing room next game.

@DznerV3 Can’t lie Dalot makes me believe I can still go professional

@EBL2017 All this and it's just down to Dalot refusing to do his job😂😂

Leave Dalot in Nottingham

We’re one Dalot replacement away from being a serious team

I can’t watch any of Dalot’s games ever again. He cost us a lot!! #MUFC #NFOMUN

Ruben Amorim admitted after the game that they dropped two points in the game and should have done better. He rues the five minutes in which his players failed to turn up and conceded two goals. He said (via UTD report):

"We had five minutes where we disconnected and conceded two goals. We dropped the energy level, the aggression and you can feel it. But we scored and tried to win the game. Let's work to win next week. For me, we lost two points and we should have done better."

The result leaves Manchester United fifth in the Premier League table, eight points behind leaders Arsenal. A win would have seen them go to second in the table.

Ruben Amorim sees positives despite Manchester United draw

Ruben Amorim believes his side showed character to bounce back in the game despite conceding two goals swiftly after the second half started. he admitted that it was not the case last season and said (via UTD report):

"In the past, if we had this kind of bad five minutes and we suffered two goals, we didn't recover. Today is a different feeling." "You can sense that we could not win this game, but we are not going to lose. I think last year we suffered a lot and we want to win games and to overcome these moments, but now we know how to do it."

Manchester United face Tottenham Hotspur next in the league, before the players split for the international break.
