Haynes King started the season in style.
And the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets' QB ended it as a top-10 finisher in the voting for the Heisman Trophy.
It's the top-four that get most of the shine. Those are the finalists that go to New York City, and this year, those guys are Diego Pavia, Jeremiyah Love, Fernando Mendoza and Julian Sayin.
But on Thursday, the Heisman committee released who placed in the 5-10 spots.
King ranked 10th in the final voting.

This is how those spots worked out:
5. Jacob Rodriguez
6. Jeremiah Smith
7. Gunner Stockton
8. Trinidad Chambliss
9. Caleb Downs
10. Haynes King
It really is just such a cool spot for King to be.
He's never been a household name, but in multiple big games this season, King shone brightly.
The Yellow Jackets didn't stay in College Football Playoff contention as long as they would've hoped.
But in this moment, King gets the recognition he deserves.
