The list of legendary baseball players to don a Seattle Mariners baseball uniform is pretty impressive.
But there's one thing they all have uncommon, and it's not fun.
None of them have ever taken Seattle to the Fall Classic.
This year's team has a chance to change that.

Have the Mariners played in a World Series?
No, the Seattle Mariners have never played in a World Series.
Of course, that means they have never won one.
But it's even more notable that they've never even reached that stage. The Mariners have never won an American League pennant.
This is particularly notable on Sunday, Oct. 19, because on this night, the Mariners play Game 6 of the ALCS against the Toronto Blue Jays. Seattle leads the series 3-2.
The Mariners can advance to the World Series with a win in Game 6 or Game 7. They'll have two cracks at it.
Sure, it's a little tougher because these two games are in Toronto. But the Mariners won Games 1 and 2 in the Rogers Centre already.
It'd be a special night for the Mariners if they can move on.
The Los Angeles Dodgers are waiting in the World Series after winning the NL, and they're defending champs. The Mariners would love the chance to knock them off.
