There has been a huge controversy surrounding the term "WAG," which stands for "wives and girlfriends" of athletes. While some partners of NFL players have publicly criticized it, others are not against the label, including Josh Allen's wife, Hailee Steinfeld.

Steinfeld, who married Allen in May, does not mind being addressed as the partner of the Bills quarterback. The actress shared the list of the top 29 moments of her life this year that she loved the most. The 15th hinted at her take on being addressed as a "WAG."

"Hearing, 'Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome, for the first time, 'Mr. and Mrs. Allen,'" Steinfeld said on Saturday, via Beau Society.

However, Amon-Ra St. Brown's girlfriend, Brooklyn Adams, called it out during an interview with People in November. She admitted to not being a "fan" of the label and explained why.

"I have a name, and if you got to know me, then you'd realize that I'm more than just a girlfrien," Adams said. "I love that they put a spin on that. I don't like the 'WAG' title. Nothing against anybody who likes it. It's cute that girls put their own twist on it. But to be given that title, I'm not a fan."

Before Adams, George Kittle's wife, Claire, also shared her thoughts about it. Just like Steinfeld, she has no issues with the label.

Josh Allen praised wife Hailee Steinfeld as 'favorite teammate'

The Buffalo Bills defeated the New England Patriots 35-31 on Sunday. Josh Allen swooned over his wife, Hailee Steinfeld, during the postgame presser.

“I love my wife, she’s my favorite teammate," Allen said.

Allen and Steinfeld marked another major chapter of their lives on Friday. The couple announced their first pregnancy on Instagram. The post received a lot of well wishes from Hollywood celebrities like Gigi Hadid, Hailee Bieber and Millie Bobby Brown, among others.
