Gwyneth Paltrow, Chris Martin’s Daughter Apple Martin Reveals the One Cosmetic Procedure She’s Had
The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree—just ask Apple Martin.
Indeed, the eldest daughter of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin proved the longtime saying true as she made her directorial debut on a musical at Vanderbilt University on March 27.
The 21-year-old celebrated the accomplishment in a post on her Instagram Story on March 30, sharing a photo of her hugging her two classmates from the musical theater troupe as they held bouquets of flowers on stage.
"Best weekend, best people, best org, best memories," Apple wrote above the photo before giving her two friends, who served as the production’s musical director and producer, a sweet shoutout. “Couldn’t have done it without u.”
The theater group later shared Apple’s post on their Instagram Story, writing beside it, “Miss Director couldn't have said it better.”
In another slide on her Instagram Story, Apple—who is set to graduate from Vanderbilt in May—shared a photo of the theater group on stage in all-black attire.
Though Apple was thrilled to work on the production, the arts weren’t initially what she planned to pursue. In fact, she planned to go to law school after graduation but expressed a desire to dabble in theater before leaving Vanderbilt just last year.
"I’m a law, history, and society major, but I wish I would’ve taken—maybe I’ll take a theater course before I leave,” she revealed to Interview magazine in April 2025. “It’s a fun balance between my very different extracurriculars and my major.”
“I would love to do theater because I adore it so much,” she added. “I’ve obviously never done film before, but I’ve been trying to get involved in student films. I was born a theater kid.”

And since being bitten by the theater bug, Apple’s tune about following in her parents’ footsteps has drastically changed.
"I was in that rebellious 'I don't wanna be like my parents' type of phase," she told Vogue in February. “I don't wanna be a singer. I like musical theater, but getting onstage by yourself to sing is so terrifying."
"I love dancing and I love acting," she added. "My dream is to act."

Her mom’s career path isn’t the only thing that Apple has been inspired by as of late.
While attending the New York premiere of Marty Supreme in December with Gwyneth, 53, and her brother Moses Martin, 19, Apple wore the same Calvin Klein Collection dress that her mom had worn 30 years earlier to the 1996 premiere of her film Emma.
"That was a moment where everyone was like, 'You're your mom's twin,'" Apple said. "And I was like, 'Thank you. I'll take it.' Are you kidding?"
