Guerschon Yabusele injury news comes at bad time for Knicks with in-game update

The New York Knicks couldn't really afford a frontcourt injury.

But on Sunday, Guerschon Yabusele left the game hurt.

He was initially limping on the court, and he checked out of the game.

Kristian Winfield of the Daily News reported that Yabusele was then being looked at by trainers.

The big fella signed with the Knicks this offseason after a strong season for the 76ers. He's a key reserve in the frontcourt.

The Knicks have begun the season without Mitchell Robinson due to injury, which has pushed Ariel Hukporti into the starting lineup.

Hukporti has started at center, while Karl-Anthony Towns has been the power forward.

When Yabusele has played, it has either been in place of Towns or while allowing KAT to play at the 5.

But with no Yabusele, the young Hukporti and deeper center depth are forced to play more.

The injury didn't sound too bad upon initial appearance, so maybe it won't keep Yabusele out for long.

The Knicks really can't afford for it to be long lasting. They need him healthy and in the rotation.
