The Cleveland Guardians fell short in the ALCS, losing in six games to the Tampa Bay Rays.

Led by starter Gavin Williams and closer Cade Smith, Cleveland's pitching staff is one of the best in the Majors.

Unless the Guardians' offense is manufacturing runs, they struggle to score runs in bunches.

FanSided's Zachary Rotman wrote that the AL Central club's biggest offseason need is a lot more power.

"It's also hard to ignore the fact that they ranked 24th in the majors in runs scored, 27th in home runs and 26th in OPS," Rotman wrote. "An uncharacteristic down year from Jose Ramirez played a role, and this Guardians lineup is admittedly deeper now than it has been in past years, but doesn't a team that was clearly flawed in the regular season need more?"

Seven Guardians hitters connected for 12 or more homers during the regular season, but none of them surpassed 18.

Rotman noted that Angel Martinez, who led Cleveland's offense with 18 homers during the year, started just one game during the ALCS.

"That just isn't good enough. If the Guardians don't add to their lineup, it'll be difficult for them to win another division title, even in a weak AL Central," Rotman added.

How much longer can Jose Ramirez be the X-Factor of the offense?

Cleveland's front office should be targeting sluggers while hoping guys like Chase DeLauter and Petey Halpin contribute 20-plus-homer years.
