The Cleveland Guardians have a few of the top trade assets available at the deadline, even if they aren't expected to be moved. One of the top players who could be moved across all of baseball is Guardians outfielder Steven Kwan.
While Cleveland isn't inclined to move him, the Guardians aren't shutting down the phone lines. According to MLB insider Jon Heyman of The New York Post, the Guardians are listening to offers for Kwan at the deadline.
Many teams are calling about All-Star LF Steven Kwan, but while the Guardians are listening on him (and their relief stars Clasé and Smith), understandably it would have to be quite a compelling offer. Cleveland also has a favorable closing schedule.

While there are plenty of teams looking to land the Guardinas' three-time Gold Glove outfielder, the cost for such a player will be enormous. He's under team control through 2027, and at 27 years old, would be one of the better players who could be on the move.

But, aside from the Guardians demanding an offer that'd have to be very compelling, the team might not even be in a situation to sell at the deadline. As Heyman points out, "Cleveland also has a favorable closing schedule."
Since coming back from the All-Star break, the Guardians have gone 4-1. With two more games against the Baltimore Orioles (44-56), three against the Kansas City Royals (49-53), and three against the Colorado Rockies (25-76), their schedule is very easy.
Sitting just .25 games out of a postseason spot, the Guardians might find themselves in a wild card spot by the time the trade deadline rolls around. If trading for Kwan was difficult now, it'd be near-impossible if the Guardians see themselves as contenders.
As Heyman reports, there are many teams making calls to the Guardians about Kwan and his availability. While those teams may offer strong deals, Cleveland would have to be blown away by an offer to move on from their fan favorite outfielder.
