The Cleveland Guardians made a notable roster move with their pitching staff on Friday.
According to Francys Romero of BeisbolFR, the AL Central club has made a new addition to its bullpen.
"Sources: The Cleveland Guardians are promoting Cuban right-hander Franco Aleman to MLB," Romero wrote on X.
"Aleman, 26, has not allowed a run this season in Triple-A Columbus, with 12 innings pitched and 18 strikeouts. His fastball velocity ranges between 95-99 mph."
Aleman was a 10th-round draft pick out of the University of Florida. What makes his 0.00 ERA so impressive is that he posted an ugly 7.85 ERA in 36.2 innings at Triple-A in 2025.
However, this is not the longest scoreless streak of his minor league career. In 24 innings in 2023 at Double-A Akron, the 25-year-old allowed no runs and struck out 38.

The Guardians have clearly been paying attention to his success, promoting Aleman to make an impact at the Major League level.
Aleman joins a Guardians bullpen that includes other hard throwers like Hunter Gaddis and Cade Smith.
