The 2025 NFL Draft begins on Thursday, and for the first time ever, it will be held in Green Bay at Lambeau Field. The 1940 NFL Draft was held in Wisconsin, marking the last time it had been held in the state.
So, there are a lot of new wrinkles with the Green Bay Packers playing host to the draft for the first time in franchise history. The previous three years the NFL Draft was held in Detroit, Kansas City, and Las Vegas, respectively, so moving to Green Bay is a drastic difference.
The city of Green Bay had a population of just over 105,000 in the year 2023, so it is a smaller town tasked with hosting one of the biggest events of the NFL calendar year.
On the other hand, some Green Bay residents who live close to Lambeau Field went viral for charging bonkers parking prices. Some of them were seen as low as $60 with prices even up to $160.

— Yahoo Sports (@YahooSports) April 24, 2025That is a pretty penny to pay for parking for the NFL Draft, although the video showed plenty of fans making the two-block walk to the stadium.
The first round begins on Thursday, and it will be interesting to see how the fan turnout is with it being held in Green Bay.
