Conservative podcaster Candace Owens reacted to Tucker Carlson speaking at TPUSA's recent event at Indiana University. Since the death of Charlie Kirk, Owens has raised many questions about certain donors to Kirk's organization. In her recent tweets and podcasts, she alleged that Charlie Kirk was facing "pressure" from donors due to his allegedly shifting stance on Israel.

Last month, she accused billionaire Bill Ackman and several other TPUSA donors of threatening to withdraw funding because Kirk was giving a platform to Tucker Carlson. For context, Carlson is a vocal critic of Israel's current head of state and often slams his geopolitical moves. Candace Owens often supports Carlson and his views.

On October 21, Tucker Carlson was invited to speak at TPUSA's event at Indiana University. A user shared a clip of Carlson walking to the stage of the event. The user wrote, "Certain 'donors' are not gonna be happy about this." Candace Owens shared her reaction to the post and wrote,

"Goodness and truth is winning. All the money and hit pieces in the world did nothing to stop Tucker Carlson."

Recently, Candace Owens shared some group chat messages allegedly sent by Charlie Kirk. In her October 6 podcast, the former Daily Wire host claimed that the messages were exchanged 48 hours before the death of the TPUSA founder. In one of the text messages, it appeared that the late activist expressed his frustration over losing a donor for inviting Carlson.

In the messages shared by Owens, it appeared that Charlie Kirk wrote:

"Just lost another huge Jewish donor. $2 million a year because we won't cancel Tucker. I'm thinking of inviting Candace... Jewish donors play into all of the stereotypes. I cannot and will not be bullied like this, leaving me no choice but to leave the pro-Israel cause."

Many alleged that the right-wing podcaster shared a doctored screenshot. However, Andrew Kolvet, the spokesperson of TPUSA, confirmed the authenticity of the group text chain on the October 7 episode of The Charlie Kirk Show.

Instances when Candace Owens backed Tucker Carlson

The right-wing podcaster often extended her support to Tucker Carlson and his views on geopolitics. In the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's death, Carlson and Owens raised many questions about donors to his organization. In her September 16 post, Owens wrote,

"'They tormented Charlie Kirk until the day he died' -Tucker Carlson... THIS IS A FACT. Pressure, intimidation, financial threat. STOP LYING."

In another post made on September 18, Owens claimed that Charlie Kirk was "falling out of love with Israel" because his donors were "controlling" who he could "invite to his conferences." She added that these donors were "threatening him" over inviting Tucker Carlson, Matt Gaetz, and herself.

On September 21, Charlie Kirk's memorial service took place, and Carlson spoke at the event. Candace Owens praised his speech in honor of Kirk and wrote," America loves Tucker."

On September 27, the right-wing podcaster reacted to a clip in which Debra Lea questioned Benjamin Netanyahu about dealing with Owens and Carlson. Reacting to it, the podcaster posted,

"I love that Bibi Netanyahu was asked how to combat Candace Owens and Tucker Carlson and his answer was effectively 'we have to buy Tik-tok'... Like it has never once occurred to these people to simply stop murdering people and maybe start telling the truth... Not even an option."

In her October 7 podcast episode, Candace Owens claimed that Charlie Kirk appeared to her in a dream and told her he had been "betrayed." She said that when the truth came out, it would have "international consequences."

The podcaster has not only raised questions about the donors of Charlie Kirk’s organization but has also cast doubt on the investigation into his murder. Authorities released the text messages in which Kirk's murder suspect seemingly talked about killing the conservative activist. Owens called the messages "doctored."

In her October 9 podcast, Candace Owens claimed that Kirk was not shot with the weapon as claimed by the authorities. On October 19, the podcaster shared a post on X, claiming that she was prepared to "violate" the gag order in Charlie Kirk's case that was recently issued to limit public comments from attorneys on both sides.
