The Golden Knights will take on the Oilers in what should be one of the best series of the 2025 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Fans of both clubs have already started to plan out their watch parties for this best-of-seven battle.
For Connor McDavid, this series is Step 2 on his four-step mission to get back to the Stanley Cup Final and win his first Cup. Last year, he nearly led the Oilers to the franchise's first championship since 1990, but Edmonton ultimately fell to the Panthers in Game 7 of the championship series. McDavid had 11 points in the Oilers' first-round win over the Kings, and we can expect more heroics from the Canadian legend.
The Golden Knights won't be an easy out, though. Vegas is just two years removed from its first championship, and Bruce Cassidy's club won a Pacific Division-best 50 games this season, marking the third time in franchise history that Vegas reached the 50-win plateau.
One thing's for sure: This series should be must-see TV from start to finish.
