As far as these playoffs go, Wednesday night was actually a relatively quiet one for Mitch Marner.
He notched a single assist as the Vegas Golden Knights won Game 1 of the Western Conference Final over the Colorado Avalanche.
But it really was just a continuation of what has been an astoundingly impressive postseason run for Marner in his first season away from the Toronto Maple Leafs.
The assist was his 12th of the playoffs, which leads the NHL, and that's far from the only thing he leads the league in during this postseason.
Marner has the most points in these playoffs.
He has the best plus-minus.
He has the most takeaways by a forward.
He has the most shorthanded assists and points.
And he and his Golden Knights, now nine wins in, lead the playoffs in that category, too, until an Eastern Conference team wins on Thursday.
Mitch Marner is leading the playoffs in:
• points
• plus/minus
• takeaways from a forward
• short-handed assists
• short-handed points
• wins

It's frustrating for Maple Leafs fans, who watched Marner underwhelm just a bit during his playoff career with Toronto.
Even with that said, they surely recognized that their team would probably be worse without Marner, and it was.
Right now, Marner is rubbing it in a bit. He looks comfortable with the Golden Knights, and they're reaping the reward of getting him on their team.
