Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser has ditched her longtime reps at UTA — and jumped to rival WME — in a move that has shocked the town.

The agency switch had Hollywood heads spinning yesterday. “Nikki fired UTA without warning,” a showbiz insider told us, alleging that members of her own team were unaware of the jump.

“Crazy considering what UTA built for her the last five years,” added the stunned source.

A PR rep for Glaser did not comment on the agency move.

“Nobody can figure it out,” said another surprised source, pointing to the star’s career trajectory.

Another insider told us that UTA, which signed Glaser in 2018, “Turned her from a respected comedian into a mainstream cultural force.”

The star leaves UTA as one of the highest-grossing live touring comedians, and is currently on her “The Stunning Tour” across North America and Europe.

She has headlined the Globes twice as the show’s only solo female host, and also made major headlines for emceeing the raunchy “Roast of Tom Brady” in 2024.

Her latest comedy special has three 2026 Emmy nominations, plus Glaser’s got another Emmy nom this year as the host of the Globes.

At UTA, Glaser also booked numerous TV and film projects, including Netflix’s “The Fifth Wheel” with Kim Kardashian, and the streamer’s animated feature “Steps.” She also sold a pitch to Paramount for a film based on the game “MASH” [mansion, apartment, shack or house], and is teaming on an edgy rom-com at Universal with “Knocked Up” whiz Judd Apatow.

Her “Alive & Unwell Tour” raked in $19.5M over 120 shows, and will air on Hulu.

Sources were surprised Glaser jumped ship, but some said she’s had a close relationship with WME execs over the years.

UTA also reps comics Nate Bargatze, Sebastian Maniscalco, Matt Rife and Jim Gaffigan.

Meanwhile, WME has signed Glaser to be repped in all areas, including motion pictures, scripted and unscripted TV, lit, digital content, podcasting, branded ventures, lifestyle partnerships, music and consumer biz, plus touring. WME’s comedy roster includes Kevin Hart, Wanda Sykes, Pete Davidson, Theo Von, Bill Burr, Jimmy Kimmel, Brett Goldstein, Chris Rock, Eddie Murphy, Conan O’Brien, Adam Sandler, Amy Schumer, Aziz Ansari and more.

Glaser is also returning to host the Golden Globes for a third consecutive year in 2027.

The star comic continues to be repped by Alex Murray at Brillstein, and attorney Lev Ginsberg.

Matt Belloni of Puck posted on X yesterday when word spread around town: “Glaser abruptly fired her agents at UTA and signed with WME. No explanation given to her longtime team.”
