It's all about "unapologetic glamour" in 2026!
That's what Stacey Bendet, founder of Alice + Olivia, exclusively shared with E! News following the presentation of the brand's Fall/Winter 2026 Collection at New York Fashion Week, along with even more fashion predictions and styling tips that have us ready to revamp our entire wardrobe.
"This year is the return of unapologetic glamour. We’re moving away from minimalism and back into statement dressing. I’ve always believed glamour isn’t frivolous, it’s power," Bendet shares. "The black corset with gold baroque embroidery styled with tailored trousers perfectly captures how we’re redefining femininity now…. The party on top is a trend—beautiful special tops that can be worn in a juxtaposition back to trousers!"
As for a past-decade piece that's making a major comeback this year, and is a great way to make a statement? The perfect going out top, of course!
"Definitely the early-2000s going-out top. The modern way to wear it is with contrast… a crystal corset or lace bustier with relaxed denim or tailored trousers. It keeps the look effortless and cool rather than nostalgic," Bendet suggests.
From dramatic corset tops with embellished details to delicate silky styles, we found going out tops (and more) that totally hit the mark for 2026.

What’s the ultimate work-to-weekend hero piece every woman should own this year?
"A statement jacket and a beautifully tailored trouser. Those pieces instantly elevate everything and can be styled endlessly," says Bendet.
Aritzia The Effortless Pant Curve-Fit - Crepette
These trousers go with everything! They're tailored and relaxed, with front knife pleats and an easy drape. Made from a Japanese crepe fabric, they have a subtle texture that doesn't wrinkle.
For spring, what silhouettes are you most excited about, and what styles should shoppers be adding to their carts right now?
Bendet says, "The going-out top is back. That early-2000s ritual of finding the perfect statement piece to wear with your best jeans…that energy is completely returning. Crystal and velvet corsets, stretch lace bustiers, chain-mail beaded camisoles, these are the tops every women will need in her closet."

What color stories are going to dominate this year, and which Alice + Olivia pieces showcase those shades best?
"Black, ivory, silver, gold, and burgundy. It's a glam-rock palette with a Gilded Age soul. Gold runs through the entire collection, especially in the embroideries and embellishments , and gives everything that sense of opulence and light," Bendet shares.
Is there an unexpected trend you’re betting on that might surprise people — and what item from the collection perfectly captures it?
"Detachable elements. Gowns with removable bustles and sculptural capes...the idea that a single piece can transform," shares Bendet. "It sounds theatrical, but it’s actually incredibly practical, and that kind of versatility feels very now."
Alice + Olivia Nichol Lace Bodysuit
Not exactly detachable, but definitely versatile! This lace bodysuit is the perfect going out top with jeans, but can also be styled with a skirt or used as a layering piece.
Looking ahead to fall, what are the must-have layering pieces, and how would you style them from the current collection?
"Fall layering is about drama and contrast. The hero pieces are faux-fur robe coats, Victorian jackets, and embellished corsetry…pieces that transform whatever you wear underneath. I love a lace-trim Victorian jacket over a silk mini, or a corset layered over a blouse with tailored trousers. That mix of structure and softness is what makes it feel modern," says Bendet.
