Maybe it’s another Maybelline photoshoot.
Supermodel Gigi Hadid, back in New York City after horsing around in Wyoming with pal, Kendall Jenner, for Vogue’s October issue, isn’t ready to hang up her dungarees just yet.
The 5’11” blonde beauty, age 30, was spotted in the city last night with boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, and then bright and early today filming her latest campaign for cosmetics giant, Maybelline.
Wearing a two-piece denim ensemble by creative director Sarah Burton for the spring/summer 2023 Alexander McQueen collection, the tapered, skin-tight jeans swathed with contrast topstitching and skin-baring cut-outs emphasized Hadid’s long legs.
On top, the matching waist-hugging denim jacket balanced the look with exquisite tailoring and exaggerated capped-sleeved shoulders.
Accessorized with a wide black leather corset-waist belt and pointy-toe black boots, the look was a little bit country, a little bit rock ‘n’ roll, and a whole lot of glam.
With her hair slicked back into an unusual V-part, black winged cat-eye, and warm nude lip, Hadid posed on the cobblestone streets, “smizing” amidst the bustling downtown scene and parade of onlookers.
The mix of rich, dark-wash denim and leather feels fitting for fall, although temperatures have yet to settle in sweater weather territory.
But, with the Canadian tuxedo gaining traction, we might be forgoing our trusty Fair Isle knits and jersey tops for something decidedly more, well, western-inspired.
