Players from the same draft class often share a bond, a kinship, and look out for one another.
Jevon Holland and Paulson Adebo are products of the same 2021 NFL Draft, but they were selected by different teams — Holland by the Dolphins in the second round and Adebo by the Saints in the third round. They are at near-identical stages in their careers, spending four years with their original team, hitting the open market and landing with the Giants.
So, they are linked together in the same free agency class, both inhabiting the defensive backfield, both assigned with an immediate starting role and tasked with providing upgrades in performance and leadership from what the Giants put on the field last season.
Can this work? Can these two still-young players (Holland is 25 and Adebo turned 26 earlier this month) provide for their new team the goods to turn a suspect secondary into a battle-tested, formidable unit?
