The New York Giants have been reported this week to want Jaxson Dart as their next quarterback.
When GM Joe Schoen's son shared Dart's highlights on his social media, the intrigue rose even more.
And now, on Thursday evening, the Giants are seeking a trade into the back half of the first round, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini.
In other words: It's happening.
Of course, the Giants could be making the potential trade back in for someone else.
But if you put the puzzle pieces together, the picture they make is Dart.

He'd also land in the perfect situation with the Giants. He could spend a year or even two learning behind Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston before getting to take the reins himself.
For what it's worth, DraftKings Sportsbook lists Dart as a -135 favorite to be taken by the Giants.
It makes sense that someone will make a move back into Day 1 for Dart. QBs that intrigue multiple teams like him rarely make it past the first night in this new format of three days for the draft.
The Giants are expected to take Abdul Carter at No. 3 overall.
If they leave night one with a potential defensive and offensive face of the franchise, it'll be a great night for the Giants.
