The New York Giants know they have their franchise quarterback, Jaxson Dart.
But what about the rest of the QB depth chart? The 2026 NFL Draft could sure come in handy with that.
Entering draft week, the Giants have three QBs technically under contract: Dart, Jameis Winston and Brandon Allen.
Winston and Allen are both fine as backup options, but neither would be expected to stick around very long-term.
If the Giants want to get a younger backup to pair with Dart, the draft is a good place to try and do that.
That's the thinking NFL.com has in its latest seven-round mock draft: They've got the Giants using a sixth-rounder on a QB.
Specifically, the mock picks Clemson quarterback Cade Klubnik with the No. 192 overall selection.

There's definitely one way of looking at it where Klubnik would feel like an absolute steal at that spot. Entering the 2025 college football season, Klubnik was a player thought by some to end up as a first-round pick.
Instead, he and the Tigers struggled a bit, and Klubnik didn't solidify his status as a top QB prospect.
He'll likely have to settle for being a late-round choice, then proving himself down a depth chart somewhere before maybe becoming a QB2 with QB1 aspirations.
If the Giants can get him that late, he's a worthwhile selection. Klubnik probably still has a bit of that untapped upside people thought he had, even if his ceiling is lower than previously expected.
And given that Dart hasn't yet proven he can stay healthy, it could be key in the long run for the Giants to have a quality backup choice.
