Getafe vs. Barcelona lineups, expected starting 11, confirmed team news, injuries: Stars set to return

3 hours ago 1

Having picked up their form in other competitions, Barcelona hope their recent attacking outbursts will translate to La Liga play as they visit Getafe on Saturday.

The Blaugrana put five goals past Real Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana final last weekend before repeating that explosion three days later against Real Betis in the Copa del Rey.

Having lost two league games in a row and failed to win for three straight, Barcelona will now hope to copy and paste this newfound gust of wind into a push back up the league table.

They sit third through 19 games, six points back of leaders Atletico Madrid and five behind their Clasico rivals.

Getafe, meanwhile, sit 15th as they push away from the relegation zone thanks to two wins in their last four league matches.

Add in a pair of Copa del Rey victories over lower league opponents, and the Azulones are hoping to see themselves back towards the middle of the standings.

A top-tier scalp of a title contender in good form would certainly go a long way in that regard.
