The Winnipeg Jets soared through the 2024-25 regular season, piling up the NHL’s best record and winning the Presidents’ Trophy with 115 points
From Presidents’ Trophy to unfinished business
But the celebration ended early in the spring, as the Jets bowed out in the postseason before reaching their ultimate goal. Now, with the 2025-26 schedule set, Winnipeg has a chance to prove last year’s dominance wasn’t a one-off.
Early-season firepower
Oct. 9 vs Dallas Stars – The opener couldn’t be scripted better: a rematch of last spring’s second-round playoff series. The atmosphere at Canada Life Centre will be playoff-level intensity from puck drop.
Oct. 24 vs Calgary Flames – The Jets’ first Canadian rival comes to town in what should be a physical divisional matchup.
Oct. 26 vs Utah Mammoth – The newest NHL brand makes its first-ever trip to Winnipeg. Fans will pack the barn to welcome Utah to the Central Division.
Oct. 30 vs Chicago Blackhawks – Connor Bedard visits Winnipeg for the first time this season, adding some star power to close out October.

Rivalries and must-see nights
Dec. 29 & Jan. 8 vs Edmonton Oilers – McDavid, Draisaitl, and the Oilers roll into town twice. Both games should have that Hockey Night in Canada buzz.
Jan. 17 vs Toronto Maple Leafs – Auston Matthews and the Leafs make their lone visit. A midseason national spotlight matchup.
Feb. 4 vs Montreal Canadiens – A classic Canadian clash right before the Olympic break.
Mar. 7 vs Vancouver Canucks – The Canucks visit during Winnipeg’s season-long eight-game homestand, a stretch that could decide playoff positioning.
Apr. 11 vs St. Louis Blues – A late-season divisional tilt before the Jets wrap up their playoff push.
Road tests that matter
The Jets’ longest road trip runs Nov. 4–15, a six-game Pacific swing that takes them through California, Vegas, and Western Canada. How Winnipeg fares there will be a real litmus test for their staying power.
Big time expectations for Winnipeg
After proving they could dominate a regular season, the Jets now need to show they can carry that form into May and June. With nine back-to-backs, multiple rivalry dates against Canadian foes, and a balanced mix of early marquee matchups and a March homestand, Winnipeg’s schedule is built to test consistency. The Presidents’ Trophy hangover is real, but the Jets have the depth and star power to turn last year’s heartbreak into a spring redemption story.
