ZipZap, a new car subscription platform developed by the team behind car-sharing startup GetGo, has launched in Singapore today (July 29).
The platform aims to offer the benefits of personal car access with the flexibility and financial accessibility that today’s drivers increasingly seek.
We saw a clear gap between short-term rentals and long-term ownership, and many drivers wanted something in between: consistent access to a personal car, without the stress of large upfront payments or being tied down for years.
Toh Ting Feng, CEO of ZipZap and GetGoSubscribers can access their own dedicated car through a flexible, all-inclusive monthly plan that covers insurance, servicing, and road tax. Other perks include doorstep delivery, bundled fuel discounts, and a replacement car during servicing, ensuring there is no downtime to one’s daily routine.
This eliminates longer-term financial obligations that typically come with traditional car leases, including hefty down payments, fluctuating COE prices, and unexpected maintenance costs.

With a curated selection of cars and customisable lease durations starting from six months, ZipZap offers plans tailored to suit a variety of driving habits and budgets. To ensure the right fit, each subscriber receives one-on-one support, including a personal financial consultation.
And if one is unable to make full use of the car during their lease, they can offset their monthly subscription fee through a feature called ‘Subscribe & Share’.
Though still in beta, the feature allows users to offset their monthly subscription fee by listing their vehicle on the GetGo platform during idle periods. It’s a way for subscribers to maximise the value of their leased car and lower costs, without giving up the convenience of having a dedicated vehicle.
If you’re keen on trying out the platform, ZipZap’s initial fleet includes models such as the Suzuki Swift, Honda HR-V, BMW X2, and Hyundai Kona, with plans to expand the selection in the coming months based on subscriber demand and preferences.
