Talk about friends!
June Gable, the 80-year-old character actress best known for playing Estelle, Joey Tribbiani’s agent on the smash-hit sitcom “Friends,” is about to list her Manhattan apartment for $1 million, Gimme Shelter has learned.
What’s more: Gable, a Tony-nominated actress, inherited the unit from another “Friends” actor, the late Alice Drummond, according to the listing brokerage. Drummond passed away in 2016 at age 88.
Drummond, who was also Tony-nominated, once played Ross and Monica Geller’s maternal grandmother, Althea, in a “Friends” episode called, “The One Where Nana Dies Twice.” It was the only time Drummond appeared on the beloved ’90s series. The stage and screen actress was also known for playing quirky TV and film characters, like Alice, the librarian in the opening scene of the 1984 film, “Ghostbusters.” She also appeared in films like “Awakenings,” “Doubt” and “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.”
Gable, who was Drummond’s friend and executor of her will, has owned the apartment since 2018, according to property records.
The two-bedroom, two-bath apartment is at 351 E. 50th St., a five-story elevator townhouse between First and Second avenues that dates to the 1900s. It comes with its own private garden.
At 930 square feet, the dwelling is anchored by an open living and dining area with exposed brick and a decorative fireplace. Oversized glass doors open to the charming garden — the home’s crown jewel.
At around 500 square feet, that open garden space is an ideal spot for entertaining and dining al fresco.
The main bedroom features exposed brick, a decorative fireplace, a large closet and an ensuite bath, while the rear bedroom boasts three oversized windows framing the greenspace.
There’s also a windowed kitchen and hardwood floors throughout.
The listing brokers are slated to be Claudia Saez-Fromm and Mark David Fromm, of Douglas Elliman.
