Former Yankees manager reveals true feelings on Fenway Park during Red Sox game

Take Joe Girardi out of the consideration for people who enjoy Fenway Park, the longtime stadium of the Boston Red Sox. 

Back in 2012, when Girardi was still the manager of the New York Yankees, he was outspoken about a hole in the Green Monster in left field, arguing it could have an impact on the game. 

"I don’t know if it was because of (the celebration) today, because it’s a really special day at this ballpark,'' Girardi told ESPN's Wallace Matthews. "Or is it something we’re going to have to deal with? And if it is, is there a better way to do it? I don’t know. I just don’t want to lose a game because there’s a hole in the scoreboard.''

Yesterday, Girardi made his true feelings about Fenway Park known. During the YES Network's broadcast of the opening game of the Yankees and Red Sox series, Michael Kay asked Girardi if he enjoyed playing or managing in Boston. 

"No, and nope," said Girardi.

The Yankees have two more games left to play in the series at Fenway Park after winning the opener 4-0.

Presumably, Girardi will be in the booth to tell more stories about the stadium he's not the biggest fan of.
