Former WWE star Zayda Steel recently picked up her first win in ROH. The star was in a match against Rachel Ellering.

Zayda was the first wrestler signed to the WWE ID program. She joined the project back in 2024 with hopes of picking up a full-time NXT development contract. The rookie had made her wrestling debut in 2022 and also appeared in the company's Evolve brand as part of the Vanity Project stable. She recently jumped ship and showed up in Tony Khan's ROH promotion.

Steel recently made her ROH debut at Final Battle. She faced off against Leila Grey in a singles encounter. Although she didn't come up with the win, she impressed the fans with her performance. This time, Zayda brought out her A-Game in the match. After some initial back and forth, she put on a show against Ellering. Steel ended the match with a DDT to get the win. In fact, the two stars shook hands in a moment of mutual respect after the encounter.

Zayda Steel left her WWE ID contract

Back in October 2025, Zayda decided not to renew her WWE ID contract. The star recently shared with fans that she would not continue with the ID program.

In a post on Twitter, the star detailed that she was grateful for the time spent in the company. Steel noted that she learned a lot during her time there. However, she felt that she was still young and needed to follow a different path.

"I’ve decided not to renew my WWE ID contract. I’m incredibly grateful for all the knowledge, experience, and opportunities I’ve gained along the way, but at the end of the day, I have to do what’s best for me. I’m only 21, and have already done so much, but I’m just getting started! Thank you ❤️"

The ROH star is only 22 years old and has a long career ahead of her. It will be interesting to see how her career pans out in the company.
