Former WWE Champion takes a massive dig at John Cena following huge win: "That is my profession now"

A former World Champion recently took a dig at the Last Real Champion John Cena following his huge win. The dig was targeted at the fact that Cena tapped out in his final wrestling match few weeks ago. The star in question is none other than the man who retired the Cenation leader, Gunther.

Gunther won the Last Time is Now Tournament and went on to face John Cena in his retirement match at Saturday Night's Main Event. After putting on one of the best matches of Cena's farewell tour, the Ring General made Cena tapout to the sleeper hold to end his career.

At the recent WWE Live Event in Tampa, Gunther faced Je'von Evans in a singles match and made him tapout to pick up the win. While he was heading backstage, the Ring General sent a snarky message to the fans while simultaneously taking a dig at Cena for tapping out.

"That is my profession now, make people give up. This little punk right there thinks he's something special. The only one special here is me." He said.

Je'von Evans is one of the fastest rising stars in NXT and is currently feuding with Ricky Saints on the brand. It will be interesting to see what Triple H has planned for both him and Gunther.

Gunther has been receiving intense heat for retiring John Cena

After John Cena tapped out in his final match, fans started chanting slurs at Triple H even during the post-show. On the following episode of RAW, Gunther came out to address the fans following the biggest win of his career. The Ring General was getting an unreal amount of heat from the fans as they kept booing him.

The former World Heavyweight Champion embraced the heat as he took a shot at Cena for tapping out and took a victory lap all around the arena. He was then asked by Adam Pearce to leave the arena. On this week's edition of the show, Gunther was interrupted by CM Punk who was visibly mad at him for disrespecting Cena like that.

Fans are excited to see what's next for this generational heel run from the Ring General.
