Former Warriors star Kevin Durant ties Stephen Curry on impressive all-time list

Kevin Durant hasn’t lost a step since leaving the Golden State Warriors in 2019.

Durant has been an isolation maestro with the Brooklyn Nets, Phoenix Suns, and now the Houston Rockets, leaving Warriors fans to ponder what could have been if the 37-year superstar had remained with the Dubs beyond the 2018-19 campaign.

On Thursday, Durant tied Stephen Curry, his old Warriors teammate, on an impressive all-time list following a stellar outing against the Atlanta Hawks.

“Kevin Durant ties Steph Curry for the 2nd most games ever with 30+ points on 65%+ true shooting,” Real App revealed on X/Twitter.

Amazingly, Durant and Curry are still playing at a ridiculously high level despite their advanced age (both 37). It’s uncommon for players above the age of 35 to perform as though they’re still in their primes.

Thanks to Durant and Curry’s marvelous shot-making off the catch/on the dribble, the two future Hall of Famers are in far better shape than players who rely heavily on their athleticism to last in the big leagues.

Durant is averaging 26.4 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.5 assists per game with the Rockets, while Curry is contributing 27.3 points, 4.9 assists, and 3.6 rebounds with the Warriors.

It’s reasonable to assume the Warriors’ former dynamic duo will continue to thrive until they finally decide to retire.
