Former Golden State Warriors star Kevin Durant is arguably the most active social media user in the NBA.
From responding to trolls to addressing trade rumors, Durant, who won two NBA championships with the Warriors in his younger days, is a frequent tweeter.
On Friday, Durant felt inclined to address a ‘locker room fistfights’ accusation that recently surfaced following his stressful 2024-25 campaign with the Phoenix Suns.
“I have to contest this 94-footer,” Durant wrote on X/Twitter. “This some (expletive) to throw on us. Yea yea yea we were trash this year ha ha ha but we NEVER got close to this. NEVER.”
For clarity, Durant’s tweet was in response to a jaw-dropping report from Durant’s ex-teammate, Demarcus Cousins.
"The Phoenix Suns reportedly had multiple fistfights in the locker room this past season (per Cousins),” NBACentral stated on X/Twitter.

Durant and the Suns were undoubtedly discombobulated this year. Many expected the organization to improve drastically after two consecutive disappointing postseason performances.
However, game-changing injuries and an inexcusable 26-26 start to the year led to a playoff-less season.
Although Durant efficiently averaged 26.6 points per game in Year 18, the Suns finished with a below-average 36-46 record and failed to qualify for the Play-In Tournament.
The Suns appear prepared to move on from the 36-year phenomenon this summer. Could Durant return to the Bay for Act No. 2 with the Warriors?
It’s doubtful, judging by the fact that the Miami Heat, San Antonio Spurs, and Houston Rockets are the Texas product’s preferred destinations.
Still, there’s time for Mike Dunleavy and the Warriors to make a late push for Durant and rescue him from his miserable situation in Phoenix.
