The NBA free agency market has been slow over the last few weeks, with the big names gone, and little movement on those names left.
That could change if a certain player is released by his team, as reports suggest there's a good chance of it happening.
What former all-star could be released?
According to Yahoo Sports, the Bulls could release Nikola Vucevic if they cannot find a trade partner for him.
The Bulls are in the rebuilding process, and Vucevic has one of the team's higher AAV contracts.
He is on an expiring deal, but they'd like to free up cap space sooner rather than later to give them more options financially.
A trade would be the ideal way to achieve that, but they could elect to just release him if they go nowhere in that attempt.
Vucevic is still a valuable asset at age 34. He averaged 18.5 points, 10.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists in the 2024-25 NBA season.
