Former ‘Today’ co-host Hoda Kotb shares powerful message as Savannah Guthrie’s mom goes missing

Hoda Kotb sent her support Savannah Guthrie’s way as the “Today” show co-host’s mom remains missing in Arizona.

While Kotb, 61, has yet to address the news directly, she posted the word “hope” over a rainbow to Instagram Monday morning.

Her “gutted” social media followers flooded the comments section with thoughts and prayers for Savannah’s family.

“Praying for a miracle for Savannah’s momma!” one fan wrote, with another adding, “Praying so hard. My heart hurts.”

Kotb’s rep has yet to respond to Page Six’s request for comment.

Savannah’s mother, Nancy Guthrie, was last seen at her Catalina Foothills, Ariz., home on Saturday night, leaving behind a scene that has authorities “very concerned.”

Homicide detectives have been investigating the 84-year-old’s disappearance since a family member reported her missing Sunday.

They have not ruled out foul play.

Although Nancy “is not of good physical health,” she “has no cognitive issues at all” and is “of good sound mind,” according to Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos.

Savannah, 54, was absent from the “Today” show as her colleagues Sheinelle Jones and Craig Melvin covered the investigation on air.

The journalist did, however, release a statement on behalf of her family.

“I want to thank everyone for the thoughts, prayers and messages of support. Right now, our focus remains on the safe return of our dear mom,” Savannah wrote.

“We thank law enforcement for their hard work on this case and encourage anyone with information to contact the Pima County Sheriff’s Department at 520-351-4900,” her statement concluded.

Savannah is the youngest of Nancy’s three children with husband Charles Guthrie, who died when the Daytime Emmy winner was in high school.

In May 2023, Savannah gushed on “Today” about the widow “selfless[ly]” pushing her to flee the nest and pursue her career.

“It’s not because she didn’t want me to stay. Of course she wanted me to stay,” Savannah recalled, praising Nancy for “refus[ing] to stand in the way of [her] dreams.”
