Former NFL cornerback Joe Haden didn’t hold back when it came to quarterback questions around the NFL. He spoke specifically about two teams in the AFC North.
With questions still surrounding the Pittsburgh Steelers’ situation under center, Haden said that he believes there’s already a better option within the division, naming Shedeur Sanders.
Will Howard is among the names in the mix, but he has yet to prove himself at the NFL level. Mason Rudolph could play, or Aaron Rodgers could return.
From Haden’s perspective, having a reliable quarterback is needed in today’s NFL era. Teams that don’t have an answer at the position often find themselves stuck in the middle.
At the same time, it’s not the best thing to say Sanders is better than what the Steelers have due to him not showing it yet, either. Regardelss, his overall point makes a lot of sense.
“To win in this NFL, you need a quarterback,” Haden said. “Right now, I like the Browns' quarterback a little bit better than the Steelers' quarterback... We've gotta see what Will Howard does... My quarterback, Shedeur, is a little bit better than [the Steelers'] quarterback.”
The Steelers seem to know that this is an issue. Until it gets fixed, though, questions wil continue to come up.
