Former NBA champion states Bucks will lose series against Pacers; need to blow up and rebuild

The Milwaukee Bucks are in a hole right now against the Indiana Pacers, as they are heading home down 2-0 in the first round of the NBA Playoffs. Not a lot of people have confidence in them to win this, and there are some who want the team to hit the big red button and blow up.

Former NBA Champion Nick Young is one of those people, as he stated on former NBA All-Star Gilbert Arenas’ podcast that the Bucks aren’t winning the series, and they need to blow up.

It’s over. It’s over. Milwaukee is dead, I love Giannis… all Milwaukee you gotta blow it up,” Young stated.

The podcast members went on to agree that while the Bucks’ bench is decently strong, their starting five is weak and is the main reason they can’t win. If they move around their lineups, they have a chance, but overall they probably won’t win the series.

If the Bucks do lose the series, blowing up might be their best option. Their entire roster is pretty old, with their top two superstars in Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard both are in their thirties, and Lillard is getting near the end of his career. With that in mind, trading the both of them for draft capital and young players who have a great amount of potential might be the right move.

Antetokounmpo got them a championship in 2021, and probably will have his jersey retired. But, the Bucks need to consider their future, and a potential rebuild might be the only way to truly save it.
