The Los Angeles Rams enter the 2025 season as one of the favorites to come out of the NFC and compete for the Super Bowl. They came very close to doing so in 2024, coming up mere plays shy of defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in the divisional round of the playoffs in the road during a snowstorm.
This offseason, they added Davante Adams to their offense, which should provide them with a terrific duo of Adams and fellow star receiver Puka Nacua. On defense, though, there are some questions in the secondary. However, head coach Sean McVay likes what he sees from former Washington Commanders first-round pick Emmanuel Forbes, who the team claimed off waivers last December.
"[Sean] McVay said after practice that he’s been 'really pleased' with Forbes this summer, especially after he hit the weight room hard and added some bulk to his frame," Cameron DaSilva writes. "McVay says Forbes hasn’t lost any of the 'functional movement' and traits that 'made him a guy that was a first-round pick,' which he’s happy about... McVay did note that 'this isn’t real football right now,' but he’s been happy with the secondary as a whole, including Forbes."
Forbes was drafted in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft, but failed to become an impact player in Washington. His struggles became so great that the Commanders released him in 2024.
