Flyers linked to 448-goal forward as key free agent signing

The Philadelphia Flyers are targeting a 40-year old forward as a possible free agent signing.

NHL insider Elliotte Friedman links the Flyers to Corey Perry, the veteran winger.

Perry has most recently been in Edmonton with the Oilers.

After scoring 10 goals in 22 postseason games, Perry may cost more than the Oilers can afford, according to Friedman.

That could set him up to join a new team, like the Flyers.

Perry has played 1,392 NHL games. In that time, he has 448 goals and 487 assists.

He was the 28th overall pick by the Ducks way back in 2003.

Perry spent the first 14 years of his NHL career with Anaheim. Since, he has played for the Stars, Canadiens, Lightning, Blackhawks and Oilers.

Flyers fans are hoping they're next on that list.

In 2024-25, Perry had a 30-point regular season, with 19 goals and 11 assists. He can still put the puck into the net, and Philadelphia would gladly take that production for themselves.
