Florida woman accused of having sex with an underage boy she met at funeral

A 20-year-old Florida woman is accused of grooming and repeatedly having sex with a boy as young as 12 after she met him at a funeral, according to authorities.

Ayla Gonzalez Salinas began messaging the boy – who was between 12 and 16 – on social media after they met at a funeral last November, according to charging docs reported by 12 News.

She had sexual encounters with him several times in December, according to the West Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office.

She was arrested in January, after which detectives uncovered text messages where the pair “agreed they should get their story straight” and discussed saying the boy initiated the relationship, according to an affidavit viewed by 12 News.

Gonzalez Salinas was booked for seven counts of lewd or lascivious battery of a victim.
