“Finish what I started” - Christian Lee determined to close the book on Alibeg Rasulov rivalry in ONE 173 rematch

Reigning and undisputed ONE lightweight and welterweight MMA world champion ‘The Warrior’ Christian Lee isn’t planning on dragging out his upcoming rematch with undefeated Turkish star Alibeg Rasulov longer than it has to be.

The two lock horns at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri, which will go down live on Sunday, November 16, from the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, with Lee’s lightweight MMA gold on the line.

Speaking to the South China Morning Post in a recent interview, Lee spoke about heading back to Japan for this big fight, and picking up right where he left off against his unbeaten challenger.

‘The Warrior’ stated:

“I'm excited to be going back to Tokyo and to be fighting there again. The crowd is great, the fans are amazing there, and most importantly, I'm just excited to get back in there and finish what I started in this rematch.”

Lee and Rasulov first met in December of last year, when an accidental eye poke ended their match prematurely, resulting in a no contest. Now, the two are finally ready to run it back for the undisputed ONE lightweight MMA world title.

Christian Lee says he is going to overwhelm Alibeg Rasulov in rematch: “It’s going to be too much for him”

‘The Warrior’ Christian Lee plans on giving Alibeg Rasulov absolutely no room for quarter in their rematch for the undisputed ONE lightweight MMA world title at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri on November 16.

Lee told SCMP MMA:

“I think he’s going to come out prepared. I think he’s going to come out ready to fight. But, at the end of the night, I don’t think he’s going to know what happened. I think that it’s going to be too much for him, and I’m going to get the job done.”
