It’s time for another Final Fantasy XIV Moogle Treasure Trove event! This version is The Hunt for Revelation, and will last until patch 7.4 releases. These are always popular events, because they allow players to unlock never-before-seen items, as well as items that would otherwise be incredibly annoying to farm. From equipment, treasure maps, mounts and fun house cosmetics, this particular Treasure Trove event has some must-have items, that’s for sure.
Final Fantasy XIV’s Moogle Treasure Trove - The Hunt for Revelation will kick off on November 18, 2025 at 12 am PST, and will run until the official launch of Patch 7.4 in December. Here’s everything you need to know about the event.
How to start the Moogle Treasure Trove event in Final Fantasy XIV
It’s very simple to start the Moogle Treasure Trove event in Final Fantasy XIV, because there are no quests to pick up. If you’re logged in, you’re technically taking part! You just need to do the correct types of content to farm the Irregular Tomestones, which you then take to Itinerant Moogles in the three primary towns:
These handy dandy Moogles are glad to sell you items for Tomestones (Image via Square Enix)- Limsa Lominsa (Lower Decks): 9.4, 11.6
- New Gridania: 12.4, 12.1
- Ul’dah, Steps of Nald: 9.6, 91
How to farm Irregular Tomestones for the Moogle Treasure Trove event in Final Fantasy XIV
You can farm Irregular Tomestones in Final Fantasy XIV for the Moogle Treasure Trove event by completing challenges in your Mogpendium (Duty Tab, Collections), you can pick up large chunks of Irregular Tomestones. You also get them for completing particular dungeons/content in the Duty Finder. If you see a cute little Moogle icon next to a dungeon, it rewards Tomestones. There are several types of objectives you can take part in:
Once the event kicks off, the Mogpendium will be full of stuff to do! (Image via Square Enix)- Standard Objectives: These can be done repeatedly, and are found in the Duty Finder, as well as from GATEs and Ocean Fishing Routes.
- Weekly Objectives: Each player receives one weekly objective, found in the Mogpendium. Updated every Tuesday.
- Minimog Challenges: Found in the Mogpendium, these can be completed once a week. Complete one of the two objectives for Irregular Tomestones. Updated every Tuesday.
- Ultimog Challenges: These are the biggest challenges, with the biggest rewards. This can be done once per Moogle Treasure Trove event.
It’s important to note that neither Adventurer Squadrons nor the Duty Support system reward Irregular Tomestones for Final Fantasy XIV’s Moogle Treasure Trove event. You must group with other players. You can only receive Irregular Tomestone rewards in unrestricted parties if “Level Sync” is applied.
As far as ocean fishing goes, you also need at least a 2,000 point score to get Tomestones. When you’ve met objectives from the Mogpendium, just open it up and claim your Tomestones.
There are plenty of strategies as far as farming goes. Some people just find the dungeon/main scenario mission that gives the most points, and just farm that until they can’t take it anymore. Others focus on the Weekly/Minimog/Ultimog challenges first, then supplement with specific dungeons. It depends on how many items you’re after, versus how much time you have to focus on it.
While Standard Objective Irregular Tomestones are automatically given to you, other Challenges need to be claimed in the Mogpendium. You can claim them up until patch 7.45 and you can use them until patch 7.5 drops.
