Fever trade rumors tracker: Latest updates on Myisha Hines-Allen, Aaliyah Edwards ahead of 2025 WNBA deadline

It's been an interesting season for the Indiana Fever.

Couple a series of big offseason acquisitions and an anticipated second-year leap from 2024 Rookie of the Year Caitlin Clark, and expectations for the Fever were sky high coming into 2025. And while Clark has missed over half of Indiana's first 30 games, the team is in prime position to make a playoff run.

Like with any franchise that has a chance to contend in the postseason, the Fever will be a team to watch ahead of the WNBA's 2025 trade deadline. The right addition could thrust them into another tier of contention.

The Fever are expected to be buyers at the trade deadline, but there has been little to no traction regarding deals that are in the works.

Indiana entered the final 15 games of the 2025 WNBA season within two games of the league's second seed. Conversely, the Fever have just a 2.5-game lead over the eighth and final team in the playoff picture, meaning things could still go either way.

As it stands, Indiana could benefit from a boost in its frontcourt, while it expects Clark's return to the lineup to be an All-Star-sized boost for the backcourt rotation.

Fever trade targets

Aaliyah Edwards, Mystics

Edwards' name was mentioned in trade rumors in early July, but nothing has materialized.

Despite being the sixth pick in last year's WNBA Draft, Edwards has not carved out a consistent role with Washington, and her playing time has decreased from 21.8 minutes as a rookie to 13.7 minutes per game in Year 2.

The 6-3 forward's talent is undeniable, but she may benefit from new scenery. It's worth a call from Indiana.

Myisha Hines-Allen, Wings

Hines-Allen is mentioned most in hypothetical trade situations with the Fever, and for understandable reasons.

The 29-year-old veteran forward is a solid rotational player for a Dallas team that has made it abundantly clear that the focus is on the future. Having already dealt one veteran ahead of the deadline, Hines-Allen could be acquired for the right deal.

In this case, acquiring Hines-Allen, a veteran player with championship experience, could be a seemingly marginal deal that could make a major difference.

Satou Sabally, Mercury

As for a more ambitious trade target, Sabally rises to the top of the list. Her first season in Phoenix has not exactly gone according to plan, and there is speculation that an early exit could be in the cards.
