Feral garden calico cat trades street life for indoor furever home after several offers to join hoomans fur family, saving her life from the winter freeze: ‘I am so lucky that little Lottie chose us.’

I have posted a few weeks ago. Unfortunately, that cat sadly got hit by a car just 2 weeks later and G. d. I was so sad because he just started to trust me.

A few days ago, a new calico cat showed up and she is the sweetest. I again asked the neighbors if someone was missing their cat (as she snuck in with me because of the terrible winter weather). Nobody

claimed her. My boyfriend, my sister and I have noticed that she looks pregnant. This or it might be worms or another dise. Is it likely for her to be pregnant despite the time of the year? I wasn't able to look

  • Well, this is certainly an interesting one. It is not often that a hooman will be targeted by so many cats one after the other. It seems as though the Cat Distribution System is heck bent on making it so that this hooman has a fur baby. And judging by the amount of care and concern this person already has for a cat they barely know we would happily find ourselves agreeing with the CDS’s choice in hooman. But judging by the time of year (at least per the cold) it is not likely that this catto is pregnant…

stated in the last post, I have a 16 year old senior indoor cat. I don't want to expose her to potential illnesses. How should I proceed? If she is pregnant, does that stress her out too much? We have a lot of barns where she

is sheltered from the cold. When I take her inside, how long should I put her in quarantine? Should I even try to take her inside? She constantly sits in front of my door and wants inside since she snuck in

Hi guys! I just left the vets office and we have news! Little Mrs. Lottie is in fact NOT pregnant. But she is riddled with fleas and worms. She is

  • 13

not spayed and the vet said she is about 2-3 years old. She has a bad tooth, probably she got bitten by a mouse. We will continue to monitor. I was afraid she might have FIP,

  • Excuse you? A cat who has a mouse bite? What kind of topsey turvey Tom and Jerry world are we living in where a street cat has incurred an injury from the bite of a mouse? It sounds absurd to say it even. Maybe that is how this poor thing got worms in the first place. But either way it sounds like this clever catto knew it was time to seek out support as between her physical condition and the weather conditions it does not sound as though she would have made it all to much longer by herself.

Worried-Awareness-84 OP I don't want to make a whole post about her again, but today I have bought a lot of enrichment toys for her. The fleas are dropping dad from her coat and I have been brushing them out with various brushes. Thankfully she likes it a lot. I have bought her a large puzzle board, different small toys, catnip spray and a cardboard scratcher for her 'base camp'.

I also called the vet because of the bloodwork and little Mrs. Is - besides all of the parasites and the tooth - healthy! That means I will let her discover the house a bit more tomorrow while Baghi is in another room. Also I feel comfortable to slowly introduce the two to each other through the door. For now, she isn't bolting out of the door or crying, but she sits right at the door when she hears me enter. I just hope she won't try and escape. I can get her spayed in 4 weeks earliest, so she
