DK Metcalf's Pittsburgh Steelers recorded a 29-24 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 16 on Sunday. However, Steelers wideout Metcalf made headlines after having a physical altercation with a fan who was in a blue wig and hanging over the first-row railing at Ford Field in the first half. In a video that has been doing the rounds on social media, Metcalf was seen walking up to the fan, grabbing him by his shirt collar to pull him closer, before forcefully shoving him back. The fan threw his hands up after Metcalf made contact with him, while appearing to have a yellow jersey in his hands.

Later on Sunday, former NFL wideout Chad Ochocinco claimed that the fan aimed a racial slur at Metcalf before disrespecting his mother, which prompted the Steelers star to react.

"I got word," Ochocinco said on the "Nightcap" show. "Obviously, I'm not condoning putting your hands on the fan or punching the fan. But he did call him (Metcalf) a racial slur. He called him the N-word, and he did call his momma a c*nt.

"And I think with those words being exchanged and the fan saying that, I think that's where the action occurred."
