The Atlanta Falcons have been all-in during training camp, to say the least. The entire defense has taken on a new persona — they're out to get people. There have been a few scuffles throughout camp, but that’s largely due to the new mindset and message instilled by first-year defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich.
“What stood out most was how aggressive the defense seemed to be. They forced 3 punch outs today as that seems to be an emphasis from DC Jeff Ulbrich,” The Falcoholic’s Adnan Ikic wrote.
The wide receiver room will be one to watch for the Falcons. Darnell Mooney is aiming to replicate the success he had last season once he returns from injury. Drake London is on the verge of getting paid, and the Falcons signed DJ Chark to a deal on July 25.
“Once I got here, everybody from the staff to all the coaches made me feel welcomed and wanted," Chark said. "So, I felt like it was the right decision."
Although the Falcons pursued Chark and ultimately signed him, The Falcoholic’s Kevin Knight isn’t convinced he’ll make the final roster.
“A lot of people have expressed surprise about my leaving DJ Chark off the Falcons 53-man roster. I do think Chark is interesting, but he's barely played in team sessions at this point. He's got a long way to go to earn a roster spot,” Knight wrote.

Knight elaborated on his stance further:
“It's been two years since Chark was a productive NFL starter. He could absolutely get back there, and that'd be great for Atlanta. But I would caution against assuming that,” Knight posted.
There’s no doubt Chark arrived late to the party and still has a lot to prove. But he understands how the NFL works — he knows he’ll need to show something quickly. If he doesn’t, he could easily be left off the final roster.
