Pop singer Billie Eilish criticized Tesla CEO Elon Musk after reports suggested he is on track to become the world’s first trillionaire. According to NBC, on November 6, Tesla announced that its shareholders had approved a payout plan for Musk. He would receive the company's shares in tranches over a decade, worth up to $1 trillion. However, the pay agreement will take effect only if Tesla meets its predefined benchmarks.
Following the announcement, a women's rights organization, My Voice My Choice, shared a carousel on Instagram on November 11. The post suggested what Elon Musk could do with that amount of money. On Wednesday, Billie Eilish reshared the post on her Instagram story.
The reshared carousel suggested that Elon Musk could “end world hunger” and could spend $10 billion each year to vaccinate 140 million newborn babies. It further stated that Musk could save "10,443 endangered species" by allocating one or two billion dollars annually. It added that the billionaire could "rebuild Gaza" and even end "maternity deaths" in 120 countries within a decade.
In the last slide, Billie Eilish slammed Elon Musk and wrote,
"F*cking pathetic p*ssy b*tch coward"

Last month, while accepting the Music Innovator Award at the Wall Street Journal Magazine's awards event, the Grammy-winning singer lashed out at billionaires.
"I’d say if you have money, it would be great to use it for good things, maybe give it to some people that need it... Love you all, but there’s a few people in here that have a lot more money than me. If you’re a billionaire, why are you a billionaire? No hate, but yeah, give your money away, shorties," Elish said during her acceptance speech.Notably, tech billionaire Mark Zuckerberg was also present at the event alongside other notable persons. Before Eilish came on stage, the event host announced that the singer would be donating $11.5 million from her tour proceeds to fight hunger and climate issues.
More on Elon Musk’s payout agreement that puts him on a path to becoming a trillionaire
Elon Musk is projected to become world's first trillionaire. He said "My plan is to use the money to get humanity to Mars & preserve the light of consciousness" - @elonmusk
As per NBC, 75 percent of Tesla shareholders voted in favor of what is considered the largest corporate payout to a CEO. The outlet reported that, according to the recent payout plan, Elon Musk would receive 12 percent of the company's shares, worth up to $1 trillion, in the next 10 years.
The move came after Musk sought greater control over the company to focus on Tesla's robotics division. The company's investors showed their faith in Musk and agreed to this payout plan. The company's website for voting thanked the shareholders following the decision.
"Our shareholders’ resounding vote of confidence demonstrates their belief in the vision embodied by Master Plan Part IV and in our singular leader, Elon Musk, who led Tesla to become one of the most valuable companies in history and who continues to push humanity closer to a future of sustainable abundance for all," the website read. After the voting results were announced, Musk thanked shareholders for their confidence in him.
“I super appreciate it. Thank you, everyone. What we’re about to embark upon is not merely a new chapter on the future of Tesla but a whole new book," he said on stage during the shareholder meeting. However, the deal will take effect only if Elon Musk remains the company’s CEO for seven and a half years. Another key condition for vesting his payout shares is Tesla’s market cap reaching $8.5 trillion. The company must also meet 12 operational milestones for him to receive 12 percent of the shares.
In recent years, Elon Musk has shifted more of his focus to the AI and robotics business. The billionaire often highlights xAI's milestones and Tesla’s humanoid robot developments on his X account.
