An eyewitness to the terror attack in Washington, DC, broke down in tears as he recalled how the gunman calmly walked right up to the Israeli embassy workers as if he knew them — then coldly “shot this young couple.”

John Elleson told Sky News he was just “walking by” the Capital Jewish Museum late Wednesday when “this guy came up” with what “looked like a gun.”

“I couldn’t tell what it was, but I heard it afterward — the shots,” the shocked witness said.

“And he shot this young couple,” Elleson said of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim.

Elleson paused to bat away tears and take several deep breaths before continuing his recollection of the terrorist.

“Then he ran inside, and he yelled something — I couldn’t make it out,” he said, his voice cracking.

“He just ran up … it was terrible. It was terrible, ” he said.

Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim were murdered outside the Capital Jewish Museum on Wednesday night.
